Scott’s Professional Experience

 

Over 20+ years in the visual storytelling realm as a creative director, brand strategist, client liaison, and connector, Scott has partnered with small startups like Origin and Apex Auto Shield, to global organizations that include Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, John Deere and Co., Twitter, and Comcast NBCUniversal—even a Romanian airline, BlueAir. In addition, he brings client-side knowledge with his work on staff at Terumo BCT and Reed Elsevier publishing, as a former Board member for Wellspring Communities, serving as secretary, and presently serving as adjunct faculty with the University of Colorado, Boulder, where Scott leads a capstone in strategic campaigns in the Department of Advertising, PR and Media Design.

Scott’s value comes from his common sense understanding and clarity of purpose. While having one foot firmly planted in creativity, Scott has been on a journey to influence business outcomes through design thinking. Combining insight and ideation with his design sense, his adopted ‘Dream with me’ motto comes to life. Scott is the creator of the Brandsurgence™ Brand Discovery Deck to provide leaders of individuals and teams with a toolkit to motivate, inspire, and surge thinking when strategically planning, developing, or repositioning a brand.

Scott has gathered a few awards along the way, including ADCD illustrative acclaim, national recognition in HOW magazine, Gold and Final Fifteen® ADDYs, and Colorado AMA Silver Peak Awards for branding and interactive marketing.
